Today's theme: travel.
Here's the thing. In theory, I am in love with travel. Really. I love the idea to death. I love the idea of going to amazing new places, learning amazing new things, and meeting amazing new people. In theory, I want to travel all over the world, as often as I can.
In reality, all my experiences with travel-not that great. I hate car rides. They make me sick to my stomach, they're boring and smelly, my legs get cramps. I don't like being away from home; I always forget to pack something vital like a razor or my glasses and then I can't just, go home and get it. I often feel ill when on vacation away from home, (maybe it's a psychological thing?) and it SUCKS being sick in a hotel or someone else's house. By the time I get home I'm pretty much crying with relief.
The reason for this reality is probably because I'm doing the wrong kind of travel. I'm only 17 so most of the traveling I've done has been with my family. We drive down to Florida every other Christmas, and 22 hours in the car with my family is no picnic. Plus my dad falls violently ill while we're there EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. so at this point in my life I all but hate Florida.
I have only taken two trips without my parents, one trip down to Florida (Disney world) with my friends in 5th grade, and another trip with those SAME friends again to Florida last year. And both were fun. So come to think of it, I think my family is the main factor in my distaste for travel.
Still, I hope to travel a lot more with out my family in the future. I would love to visit Europe again (last time was in 3rd grade, I didn't really appreciate it then) especially now that I have friends there! =] Hopefully I get to go to Europe for study abroad in college 2 years from now. I really want to see California, and some southern states, and of course see all the cities in the East. And it's always been my dream as a little girl to visit Australia.
That's all I have, time to attack that homework.
Oh and sorry for missing days again....school's a bitch.
Anna out, bitches.

BEDA April 11
Weekly wrap-up!
My week was quite good, what with it being Spring Break and all. In fact, it may have been the best week of my life because of Wednesday. Although there were some bad things, like my mom being sick all week, the rain, and the excessive driving. Bah but I'm just in a bad mood because I have to go back to school tomorrow, really it was good!
Monday- College visits. in Ohio. 5.5 hour drive. UGH. Kenyon's campus (where John Green went to school incidentally!) was really beautiful, but I dunno, the people there were very...reclusive. Denison didn't have nearly as attractive as campus but I really liked it a lot better, more stuff was going on.
Tuesday- a haze of my mom being really sick in bed all day and stressing out trying to make the Wednesday Chicago trip work.
Wednesday- Best. day. ever. Please see my BEDA April 8 post for full detail.
Thursday- Not even really a day. I slept until 2pm due to the fact that I hadn't gotten to sleep until like 3am. Then when I did wake up I wrote the longest blog of my life, caught up on everything internet, and then started Will Grayson, Will Grayson.
Friday- Finished reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson, marveled at the talent of John Green and David Levithan, then went to see Date Night (hilarious).
Saturday- Did chores, then went to the roller derby with the family.
And there you go, so perhaps not the best week EVER, but still, no school right?
And I have been ridiculously ontop of my internet duties this week! That's all about to change tomorrow haha. ohwell.
Anna out, bitches.

BEDA April 10
Shopping! Something I used to loathe for years, but as time goes by (sorry I'm no Sam) I've been warming up to it.
I still do tire easily when shopping (SO much walking!) and usually end up sitting on a bench/shelf/clearance rack to rest my poor feet.
BUT I did just go to Chicago, so it's kind of mandatory to do some shopping with the Magnificent Mile right there and all. I got 2 shirts and a dress that I am very happy about, and of course the infamous color changing nail polish.
The place I spend the most is honestly Barnes and Noble, it's pretty much impossible for me to go in that store without buying something. I'm such a book snob, I mean, I go to the library frequently, but I just usually end up buying what I read anyways. I want it to be MINE. So I don't have worry about bending the spine or tearing a page. Plus, books from the library are often kind of gross. A recent one I got had like, chocolate smeared on the pages. And some very clever person realized how hilarious it would be to Sharpie out all words ending in a-s-s so it said ASS. Har, har, har, swearing is so hilarious. So yeah, I like to buy books.
I mainly get my clothes at Kohls, because they're cheap, and if you search through the crap you can find some cute stuff. Sort of.
Today I went to the roller derby with my family, which was interesting, especially after seeing Whip It. Although, the atmosphere was a lot less...loud than it was in the movie and the food sucked. But, it was fun, we were the "Killamazoo Derby Darlings" and the opposing team was the "Montreal Sexpos". So, yeah.
Tomorrow is OFFICIALLY the last day of vacation! D= I probably won't be as ontop of these blogs once school starts up...

BEDA April 9
Ok back to our regularly scheduled BEDA themes! Today's is "Teach us ". Hmm what can I teach you?
There's the things institutional public education has taught me, like the quadratic formula (-b+- √b^2-4ac/2a), dangling modifiers, and all the presidents of the US in order (seriously I know them all. I have a song.). But uh, these things are neither fun nor useful to know.
Really this is the kind of stuff I'm good at though, which is sweet for now, because it gets me good grades, but I have a feeling won't be very helpful in the future. What I'm trying to say is, I don't really know anything unusual or cool to tell you all.
Today is the last day of Spring Break! Now it's really just a weekend. I'm not too upset, my break was good, plus I kind of like the fact that school forces me to get up. I've slept wayyy too much this week.
In other exciting news I bought a really balling shirt in Chicago that I'll be wearing in my video Monday (Ari's birthday!) that I think you guys will appreciate. Oh and I also bought some grey nail polish which I put on last night, and this morning I woke up and it was orange! o.O Apparently it changes with heat. Mind. Blown. But I was super confused this morning when I saw it.

BEDA April 8
**** This blog is ridiculously long and includes a play-by-play of pretty much everything that happened when I saw John Green and David Levithan. Don't feel obligated to read/comment, because it's really just for me, getting all the details down on "paper" so I don't forget.
WOW, so ha I guess I won't get the satisfaction of saying I completed BEDA this year. Oh well.
These last few days have been crazy with downs and ups, although last night was the ultimate UP so that's what I'm going to talk about.
As I think you all know, I MET FREAKING JOHN GREEN. My mom is officially the best mom in the world because she agreed to drive my friends and I all the way to Chicago (2.5 hours...) yesterday so I could meet him. And it was everything I thought it would be plus more.
We were about 15 minutes early when we walked into The Theater Building, I wasn't really expecting to see John right away. But as we filed in, he was RIGHT THERE, sitting next to his laptop, and it was so surreal. It's like, you watch someone online for almost 2 years, and follow their tweets and everything and all the evidence suggests that, yeah, they're a real person and you THINK you understand that, but...I guess somewhere deep down I didn't really believe it until I saw it.
Anyways so yeah, there he was just sitting there 5 feet away from me being real, and I was totally thrown off. And then I realized I was staring and, being real, he had eyes, and could see me staring. I panicked, and to cover, I made the nerdfighter gang sign to him, which he returned, and then I ran for my seat while thinking "ZOMG John Green can see me, he just made the nerdfighter sign at me, that proves it!!!" Which is totally true.
And then I realized, oh my god, not only am I going to meet John Green tonight, John Green is going to meet ME tonight. o.O Which wasn't a great thought, because I (rightly) knew I was going to FREAK out and he was just going to think I was weird. Also totally true.
So then I was just nervous like nothing else, so much so that I was kind of wishing I was just safe at home watching the livestream like Ashley and Lo. Then of course I get the text from Ashley that she is watching the livestream, and I am there watching IRL and that was also kind of a surreal-awesomy feeling. So then I start shouting things trying to get Ashley and Lo to hear me on the livestream, which worked, but came with the price of almost every sinlge person there turning around to look at me whenever I screamed "HI ASHLEY!" or "HI LO!". But they were nerdfighters, so they were nice about it.
Meanwhile John and David were just kind of wandering in and out of the room eating doriotos, and THEN Wheezy Waiter shows up, and John's all "Look everyone, it's Wheezy Waiter!" and I embarass myself by actually gasping, because not going to lie, I really think Wheezy Waiter is the funniest person on youtube (which I later told him), and probably my 2nd favorite youtuber. I knew he lived in Chicago, but I wasn't really expecting to see him so that just made my night, as if it wasn't already made enough.
The actual event finally began with this pretty cheesy lady asking us about good things that came in two's (a simple introduction of John and David would have been more appropriate I think) but I shouted "Ron and Hermione!" which got a good laugh from the nerdfighters and that made me feel special =].
Then John and David came out and talked about Will Grayson, Will Grayson for a bit, I was surprised to learn they wrote most of their chapters without consulting each other, I always just assumed they had been in the same room when they wrote it.
They went on to do some readers theater from the book with Liz from sistersalad which was highly entertaining, and I plan on posting on youtube within the next few days. After that they did Q&A and I asked the first question which made me feel EXTREMELY special. Not so special that I babbled and complicated a fairly simple question (Was it harder to write a book with someone than by yourself?) but oh well.
There were LOTS more questions after that, and some very entertaining stories and moments from John and David, including the fireman story, John's willingness to steal stories, and also David gloating that his book has been a movie. David, btw, was really hilarious as well, and so far I've only read one book of his (The realm of possibility) but I definitely plan to read them all now.
My favorite question was Craig's (wheezy's) "What's the address of Frenchy's?" (porn shop). Lmao XD. oh wheezy. Which then prompted a story of how David and John went to Frenchy's to take pictures and be nerdy =]
I didn't film the whole Q&A because I was running low on memory, and I needed some for John to say hi to thesquirrelrebellion =]
So then we finally got to the book signing part, my friends who were way over this went to wait outside, and since I was number 37 and they had you go up 10 at a time, I took the oppurtunity
to say hi to Wheezy Waiter. Well, bumble like a moron to him is more like it. I told him he was the funniest person on youtube and that I watch his videos everyday. He didn't really say anything back, I think I embarrassed him and/or he thought I was mentally challenged. But he was nice enough to let me take a picture with him!
After that my mom and I went to sit down while I waited for it to be my turn to go up, and during this time a brilliant nerdfighter gave John a book by the OTHER John Green, about Sasquatch, which John loved so much he announced it to the room and I found myself wishing I had something cool to give John.
Somehow (I have no idea how) my mom and I missed the calling of my number, so they were like in the 40s by the time I went up, but no big deal, cus, hello, I MET JOHN GREEN.
I told John he and Hank had changed my life (so true) and he said that was very nice of me to say (I think he also thought I was challenged)and David pointed out that I hadn't said whether they'd changed it for the better or not. And then he and John signed my copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson for me, and I got John to say hi to the squirrel rebellion. THEN I asked if I could take a picture, and they said they couldn't stop do any formal poses but you could just...take pictures. So I went behind them and my mom took this nice creeper pic of me behind David and John.
And then, since I was back there already, I tried to wave hi to Lo and Ashley on the livestream, but I wasn't sure if it worked or not, but apparently it did so Ashley has some footage of me being confused that I can't wait to see =].
Then I thought the night was so full of awesome and it couldn't get any awesomer, but I was wrong because Ashley called me and we had a very brief phone conversation, which I cut short because my friends were glaring at me and we had to start the 2.5 hours drive back (it was already 10:30pm our time). But it was awesome to talk all the same.
WOW this is a really long blog, I swear you guys don't have to comment, it's really for myself. I tried to include every detail so I won't forget, because it was probably the best night ever. I also got some pretty sweet things while shopping in Chicago, but uh, I think this is long enough =] Plus I need to go read Will Grayson, Will Grayson now.

BEDA April 4
Happy Easter lovely followers (aka TSR girls + Sarah)! I'm feeling quite cheerful in my nice Easter sun dress and the sun shining. And let's not forget the delicious HAM that is cooking in the kitchen right now.
But today's theme is not food, it's weekly wrap-up. This is kind of hard for me, because I have an awful time trying to look back and recall things. Do you guys know what I mean? It's just seems like too laborious of a task for my mind to remember so far back...
Well, let's see...
Monday...I stacked my books. Really, that took like all of my time haha.
Tuesday...I scheduled my spring break to include the supermegafoxyawesomehot event I will be sharing tomorrow.
Wednesday I went to the girls soccer game to heckle my friend who plays goalie. ("WHO'S THAT SEXY SUPERMODEL IN GOAL?")
Thursday I sat around at home and rediscovered my love for Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-long Blog.
Friday I saw Clash of the Titans (mediocre, not recommended) and then acted completely obnoxious and annoying in Arby's with my friends.
Saturday I slept in and then did chores and decorated Easter eggs with my family.
( I totally cheated and went back to read my old Facebook statuses. Seriously. Can't remember that far back.)
So. Not a very exciting week, but still a good one. How can you not be happy the week before Spring Break? I had some very nerdy things going on that needed to be planned and plotted, that's always fun :D
Anyone else super pumped about Will Grayson, Will Grayson?
Anna out, bitches.
Books read: 22
PS: In case anyone was wondering, I DID end up getting my ACT test scores, and I got a 30 (the highest is 36). Which I am reasonably happy with, but I think I'll take it again in June.

BEDA April 3
It is so ironic that today's theme is FOOD because the only reason I chose now to blog is because my dad has taken over the kitchen and I CAN'T HAVE LUNCH. So I thought I'd take my mind off the painful hunger by blogging, and come to find that, yes, the theme is in fact food.
Food is great. Food is my friend. I love food like it were my own child. If I could, I would spend all my time with food, but this is impossible when CERTAIN PEOPLE block off the kitchen because they need to "mop" or whatever.
That being said, I am a terrible cook, which really disappoints me. I like the low-prep canned food alright I guess, but I really love like, exquisite food. So I love going out to eat at nice restaurants. Too bad I'm poor too, haha. But also, my mom is a great cook, so that helps.
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday which means my mom is going to make HAM. I can't wait. I love all the special meals she makes for holidays, Thanksgiving, obviously (mashed potatoes is like one of my favorite things EVER); but then there's also St. Patrick's Day (corned beef and cabbage), Christmas Eve (shrimp cocktail and garlic bread), and of course, Easter.
This has not helped my hunger at all. I don't remember who showed me this sight, Marissa, I think, but if you want to be as hungry as me just click here.
-gets bucket for drool- Ok, well in other news it's rainy and dark today. Boo. But it's nice in that warm-rain earthy smell kind of way. Everyone at my school has gotten their ACT scores back except me! I hate living outside our district mail. I'm quite nervous, I really want a good score!
On that nerdy note, Anna out, bitches.

BEDA April 2
Does it make anyone else's month that Hayley G. Hoover is also doing BEDA? Because it sure makes mine.
And apparently Maureen is doing BEDA in August. No one told me this! I'm so out of the loop...
Well Lo's theme today is music, and if you've been following my blog for any amount of time you know I love The Beatles. I grew up listening to those songs (my parents love them) and even the Beatles songs I don't really like make me smile when I hear them. I mean, c'mon. It's the fricken Beatles.
Other than that I feel kind of inadequate when it comes to music. I mean, I appreciate it, and listen to it on my iPod, but I don't like, actively seek it. I've been 5 concerts in my life. I just hear songs I like, and think, oh that's nice, this song makes me happy. But I can't claim to be any sort of expert.
A few other bands I have a lot of on my iPod: Weezer, Hank Green, Pixies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who.
Today marks my first day of Spring Break 2010, woohoo! Going out to see Clash of the Titans to celebrate. Yeah, I know, I'm wild.

Blog Every Day in April, ah!
Since I'm such an awful blogger, I figure doing BEDA will be good for me. Plus, I hate being left out of things. Gotta jump on the bandwagon.
And I'm stealing Lo's themes too, because I love themes and I hate thinking on my own. So it's perfect. And here they are (copy and pasted from Ari's blog of course. I do nothing on my own XD):

2. Music
3. Food
4. Weekly Wrap-Up
5. Sports
6. History of Hairstyles
7. Celebrity Crushes
8. Things I Love Thursday
9. Teach us!
10. Shopping Kryptonite
11. Weekly Wrap-Up
12. Daily Routines
13. Unique skills
14. Travel
15. Things I Love Thursday
16. Collections
17. Books/What you're reading
18. Weekly Wrap-up
19. Timewasters
20. Dreams

I'm not sure what interviews mean, so I'm just going to do the intro part. And tell you all that I have some VERY EXCITING NEWS that I will be sharing with you all in my Monday video! Ahhh so excited just thinking about it :D If you stalk my facebook/twitter you might already know.
Spring break is next week. And it's like 75 degrees out. Life is good. Is life good for you guys? I hope so :)

**because I am running out of relevant Beatles songs for my blog (as Marissa predicted, that psychic), for BEDA I'm not going to do the song thing.
